TOMODACHI: AN EVENING OF JAPANESE CULTURE & FOOD

• Celebrating 25 Years of Friendship with Muroto

This special event will celebrate the 25^th anniversary of the original signing of the Friendship Agreement between Port Lincoln and the Japanese city of Muroto. We will be privileged to host a delegation of six adults from Muroto on the night and throughout the Tunarama weekend.

“TOMODACHI”, (the Japanese word for “friend”,) will feature entertainment provided by talented cultural performers from the Australia Japan Association of South Australia. Attendees will experience a wide variety of traditional Japanese music and dance presentations (including taiko drumming, koto and flute).

Jeremy Hartwich (North Shore Catering) will provide a delicious cocktail-style meal featuring a combination of Japanese, Asian and Australian cuisine – the entire menu will showcase some amazing local produce that has been generously provided by the sponsors listed below.
